Brief Description

As Director Financial Projects, you will play an active role in the company’s operations by fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Implement and promote best financial practices and processes in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Support and follow up with Partners on numerous projects and other tasks as required.
  • Communicate financial information required to support decision-making and strategic orientations.
  • Manage the company’s entire accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
  • Efficiently supervise the monthly and annual closing processes and ensure the production of reliable financial statements within the prescribed deadlines, in collaboration with their team.
  • Analyze project profitability while highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Accelerate and automate monthly closings and all processes related to the financial cycle.
  • Prepare and review budget forecasts and budgets in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Identify accounting and financial risks proactively, while proposing timely and innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with tax reporting and filing requirements with local, state, and federal authorities in Canada.
  • Provide support in the use/reliability of business management and reporting tools.

 

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Hold a recognized accounting designation (asset)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience, including 6 years experience in operational management control
  • Professional experience in the consulting, technology, or service sectors

Competencies

  • Excellent knowledge of IT tools (Pack Office, multidimensional databases, data visualization, Workday, etc.).

  • Strong operational sense and a taste for challenge
  • Ability to move from concept to operational implementation
