Accounting Technician

Artemis Recruitment is currently seeking an Accounting Technician for our client located in the West Island of Montreal. This is a permanent position within a well-established and growing company.

Salary: $55,000–$65,000
Benefits: Hybrid work model (3 days from home / 2 days in office), $500 health & wellness allowance, 3 weeks of vacation, flexible schedule, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accounting records for two entities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable

• Enter and process financial transactions

• Prepare and maintain various reports and documents (financial statements, sales reports, etc.)

• Perform monthly and quarterly adjustments and consolidations

• Participate in year-end closing activities

• Handle intercompany transactions

• Prepare government remittances

• Gather and review accounting documentation, identifying discrepancies when necessary

• Perform other related tasks, including follow-ups with clients

Requirements:

• DEP or AEC in Accounting, Administration, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• English is essential; French is considered an asset

• Knowledge of U.S. accounting and experience with U.S. currency (USD) are strong assets

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
