Your responsibilities in a few words
Develop internal financial controls - Establish processes, accounting rules and policies in a business start-up context - Apply winning procedures and practices based on the company's policies, procedures and financial values - Participate in the design of the company's main budget, taking into account the needs and projects of each department - Oversee transactions and corroborate with suppliers to ensure that quality and prices meet company requirements - Collaborate with managers purchases to pay suppliers and inform them of payment terms - Analyze the company's investments to assess their value, include them in the financial statements and forecast their future value - Help other managers estimate budgetary needs and expenses of their department - Ensure compliance with provincial, territorial and federal financial laws and regulations - Maintain accurate accounting records to comply with GAAP and IFRS, processing audits and tax returns - Report monthly financial statements to the headquarters - Complete the notes in the end of quarter and end of year closing file - Account reservation on SAP - Categorize the Charter of Accounts for transactions - Carry out account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in the accounting registers and determine the cause of errors or irregularities - Create accurate financial reports of transactions - Manage tax audit by tax authority - Audit balance sheets, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow statements and income statements - Calculate taxes owed by the company and prepare tax returns - Forecast expenses, financial performance, revenue and market trends to help the company design its business strategy and budget - Support Canadian pricing documentation transfer - Check financial records to ensure that all departments follow appropriate procedures - Contribute to the improvement of the ERP system (SAP) - Ensure audit accounting verification - Provide coaching and support to junior accountants – Ensure standards are maintained in a process-driven environment
Your strengths for this position
• BAC in accounting sciences, accounting or finance
• Hold a CPA designation
• Minimum 5 to 6 years with the complete accounting cycle and tax declaration
• Knowledge of ERP systems, IFRS and NCECF standards
• Mastery of the Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills focused on interpersonal relationships and coaching
• Experience in supervision and SAP (assets)
• Familiarity with the manufacturing sector (asset)
• Bilingualism: required
