An accountant

Groupe Conseil UDA is looking for an accountant to complete its accounting and financial team.

His main tasks will include, among other things, monitoring and invoicing between related companies, managing customer and supplier accounts, preparing various annual and periodic reports, bank reconciliation, preparing files for year-end external auditors, as well as various other administrative and accounting tasks.

The position is attached to our Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu office.

Responsibilities related to the position

  • Consult the list of work in progress to ensure monitoring of projects in collaboration with the project manager; project.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the entire project invoicing process, both for clients and suppliers.
  • Ensure that the contractual documentation provided is compliant and understand the requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with project managers and provide support.
  • Collaborate with the invoicing team in the production and final shipments to clients when needed during busy periods.
  • Collaborate closely with other areas of the company to quickly resolve any accounting and administrative questions or concerns.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for the CFO, project managers and other managers.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with operational teams (revenues, costs, margins, capex).
  • Assist in the production of financial measures and key performance indicators relevant to the various sectors of activity (including the balance sheet: DSO, Age of work in progress, etc.).
  • Support the financial director for the monthly accounting closing.
  • Evaluate opportunities for possible improvements to the department's processes and procedures and make recommendations in this regard to the financial director in order to increase resource efficiency.
  • Carry out other tasks related to accounting.

Requirements and training

  • DEC in Finance, Administration or Accounting (bachelor's degree is an asset);
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent command of Office suite tools (particularly Excel);
  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while respecting tight deadlines;
  • Know how to communicate and work in a team;
  • Be rigorous and proactive;
  • Confidentiality / Discretion.
