Your responsibilities in a nutshell

Member of the executive committee, you play an essential role in the overall management of the entity. You will contribute to the development of strategic plans and the definition of the vision, strategies and objectives, taking into account the directions of the Commissioner and departmental priorities. You will also represent the entity before government authorities to defend its interests within the federal government.

Contribute to the development of strategic objectives - Lead the annual strategic planning process - Define and implement the vision and strategies for the sectors under your responsibility - Establish relationships productive business with various internal stakeholders - Ensure the development and maintenance of an effective management structure - Identify and develop beneficial partnerships - Develop the overall financial plan and guarantee the integrity of financial data - Manage financial and material resources proactively - Supervise budgets and justify variances as necessary - Direct the activities of the sectors under his responsibility, including financial operations and purchasing - Manage human resources in accordance with the organization's policies - Participate in the establishment of performance indicators and dashboards - Approve non-routine transactions and ensure compliance with regulations - Maximize business results by managing priorities and supporting strategic projects - Define and implement business continuity plans and emergency management programs - Evaluate individual and sector performance and develop talent.

Your strengths for the position

  • Hold the CPA designation
  • Have at least 15 years of experience in team management and strategic advisory roles
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, ideally in the federal public sector and/or cultural
  • Achievements demonstrating the ability to manage projects complex and diverse, with analytical and strategic skills
  • Significant experience in creating processes and of controls to achieve objectives, manage risks and use resources efficiently
  • Capacity to influence and create strategic vision, with political and entrepreneurial sense
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to establish connections with diverse communities and individuals
  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability to solve complex problems
  • Integrity and ability to work in an environment demanding ethics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages
