PRINCIPAL - INCOME TAX

Role: Principal – Income Tax

 

Who We Need:

Due to demand and growth, Ryan is seeking a Principal for the International Income Tax Practice, who will play a pivotal role in leading the firm’s international income tax practice. You will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and creative solutions to meet the client’s income tax needs. You will lead and mentor a team of talented professionals, while fostering client relationships that will drive business growth. We are looking for someone who shares in Ryan’s client-centric approach to continue build their practice above their competitive landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

Client Engagement:

    • Advise and support client in income tax planning and compliance
    • Foster and maintain strong client relationships
    • Identify opportunities for service expansion and cross-selling

Leadership & Strategic Planning:

  • Support clients to develop tax planning strategies
  • Identify initiatives to improve service delivery and profitability
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes

Practice Growth & Team Development:

  • Identify networking opportunities to enhance firm’s visibility
  • Contribute to business development strategies
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a high performing tax team

Technical Expertise:

  • Coordinate international income tax services for multinational clients
  • Lead complex tax engagement, including M&A and restructuring
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all Income Tax related matters in Canada
  • Develop client presentations for prospective and existing clients

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in income / corporate tax planning and advisory service, ideally in public accounting
  • Strong expertise in federal and provincial income tax laws, especially regarding international trade and cross-border transactions
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at simplifying complex tax concepts for clients and colleagues
  • Proven leadership abilities, fostering collaboration environments for career advancement
  • Capacity to cultivate client relationships and identify business growth opportunities
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client experience and nurturing long-term partnerships
  • Proactive and tenacious approach fostering a creative and resilient environment
  • Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments with a focus on high quality work
