Location: Pointe-Claire (2 days remote/week)
Hours: 35 hours/week with flexible scheduling
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 (based on experience)

A well-established real estate investment trust is looking for a Property Accountant / Senior Accounting Technician to join its team. The role is based in Pointe-Claire and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle of a complex portfolio of properties within a public company structure.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio with multiple entities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements

• Monitor and report on property cash flow

• Maintain accurate and organized working papers

• Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with other departments

• Process year-end realty tax and CAM adjustments

• Prepare monthly management reporting packages

• Liaise with external partners and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (preferred)

• CPA designation or in progress (asset)

• 3+ years of experience in real estate or property management

• Functional French and functional English (spoken and written)

• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and proficiency in Excel

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently

• MRI software experience is an asset
