Private Markets Investment Analyst

We are currently seeking a Private Markets Investment Analyst to join our G2S2 Capital Inc. Investment Team. 

The Private Markets team focuses on investing in funds, secondaries and directly in private equity and private credit across a wide range of industries and strategies.

As the Private Markets Investment Analyst, you will support the team in various tasks such as collecting and analyzing information, reviewing financial statements, creating and updating financial models and forecasts, reports, and preparing updates as necessary. They contribute to the investment decision process by preparing analysis and documents to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the investment team in the due diligence effort on primary funds, co-investments and secondary opportunities mainly across private equity, venture capital and private credit.
• Carry out financial modelling, and projection (direct investment) / quantitative performance and risk analysis.
• Monitor and analyze existing investments in the portfolio.
• Build and maintain value-added reports and dashboards to provide visibility toward the performance and cash flows of the different investment portfolios.
• Design and implement complex reporting structures to facilitate data analysis and visualization.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within reports and dashboards.
• Participate in the review and preparation of legal agreements and administrative paperwork related to investment opportunities.
• Support other team members to deliver specific requests or projects.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
• Keep up to date with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in investments, performing analysis, research and due diligence.
• Strong financial modelling skills combined with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and projects.
• Capacity to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
