Our client, a well-established and constantly evolving Quebec company, is looking for a Financial Controller to support its growth and actively contribute to its financial directions. In this strategic role, you will be called upon to assist management in its business decisions while ensuring the stability and evolution of financial operations. You will occupy a key position where your expertise, judgment, and ability to mobilize a team will have a concrete impact on the organization.
Your Role Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for supervising financial activities, guiding the accounting team, and continuously improving processes. You will participate in both the solidity of daily operations and the reflections surrounding the future development of the company.
Main Responsibilities • Supervise the accounting and financial operations of the organization; • Produce and analyze financial statements as well as various management reports; • Ensure the monitoring of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow; • Implement and improve processes, internal controls, and performance indicators; • Guide, support, and mobilize the accounting team; • Participate in month-end closing, external audits, and regulatory obligations; • Analyze financial results and make recommendations to management; • Collaborate on improvement, growth, and optimization projects; • Act as a business partner to managers and management.
Profile Sought • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; • CPA designation (an asset); • Relevant experience in a financial management or control role; • Experience in supervising or managing a team; • Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills; • Mobilizing leadership and developed interpersonal skills; • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing environment; • Strong ability to simplify financial information and support decision-making; • Experience in a project, industrial, or construction environment (an asset).
