Our client is a well-established accounting firm located in Ahuntsic, led by two partners and recognized for the quality of its services and the trusting relationships it maintains with its clients.
The firm is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for a senior CPA who wants to contribute to an environment where their expertise will be recognized and where they can grow with the team.
THE ROLE
You will have a versatile role combining Certification, taxation, and client support and consulting.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing, supervising, and reviewing compilation and review engagements;
- Participating in the implementation of new audit engagements, then supervising and reviewing them;
- Planning, performing, and reviewing tax engagements for corporations, individuals, and trusts, including consumption taxes;
- Acting as a resource person for Clients for their accounting, tax, and management needs;
Mentor and support junior team members;
Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and the quality management system;
Collaborate directly with partners on complex files and special mandates, particularly in restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning;
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- CPA;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm;
- Solid knowledge of the ASPE and the standards applicable to non-profit organizations;
- Experience with a diverse clientele: holding companies, services, retail, non-profit organizations, manufacturing and processing;
- Good expertise in personal and corporate taxation;;
- Proficiency in CaseWare, Taxprep/CCH iFirm, Excel and major accounting software;
- Autonomy, professional judgment and excellent ability to Managing priorities;
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative spirit, and tact;
- Client-oriented and committed to quality;
- Excellent command of spoken and written French.
