With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The incumbent is responsible for business development and relationship management of real estate developers, investors, owners and COIs. The incumbent will manage a group of clients, develop a diversified financing portfolio of loans generally between $10mm to $200mm including land/construction, repositioning/bridge and term. The successful candidate is expected to maintain excellent business relationships, risk management and portfolio administration.
Develop a business development plan with a goal to develop a network of customers and prospects through the following activities:ºEstablishment of a direct prospecting approach with prospects / stakeholders / customers;ºTargets the needs of customers and prospects and anticipates the evolution of their financing requirements, recommends strategies adapted to their needs;ºPreliminary risk analysis to ensure that the financing structure complies with the Bank's policies, programs and procedures;ºCollaborates with the underwriter in drafting the credit;ºEnsures that the terms and conditions are respected (credit risk control);ºMaintains a high level of portfolio quality and performance (profitability and quality).ºWorks in close collaboration with other stakeholders in the sector;ºEnsures full compliance with our service guarantee;ºEnsures the visibility of the Bank in the industry under its responsibility by acting as a representative of the organization in order to promote the image of the Bank by developing and maintaining business relationships with current customers, potential and influential industry participants, etc.ºWorking knowledge of current industry trends and changes in legislation to ensure the evolution of existing practices;ºMakes recommendations to improve work processes;ºPerform any other task of the same nature or of a general nature requested or required in the context of his duties..
ºUniversity education in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experienceºExcellent business development skillsºAbility to work in a teamºExcellent verbal and written communication skills;ºBoth English and French communication is an asset;ºStrong financial analysis;ºStrong analytical thinking;ºAutonomy, initiative and ability to learn from peers and oneself;ºAbility to manage multiple files in a dynamic work environment.
