With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Product Development & Management, the Senior Advisor Product Development & Management (Deposit Products & Product Performance Management) acts as an expert in the execution and improvement of the strategic direction for Laurentian Bank's Personal Banking deposit products and services across Laurentian Bank of Canada Financial Group. This includes collaborating with partners and support cross-functional teams to optimize the performance of existing products through end-to-end product customer journey management and enhancing the bank's product offering.
ºAct as an expert to support development of end-to-end deposit product customer journeys and own the customer experience for products leading to a consistent experience across touch points and distribution channels.ºTakes in charge the deposit product strategy and value proposition development, associated roadmaps and annual business plans, including ensuring tactical execution across the customer journeyºOversee harmonization of products and product innovation to ensure alignment with customer needs - experiences, features, benefits, and new capabilitiesºCollaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize product performance and create alignment against business line objectives. ºExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups successfully, even under challenging conditionsºPartner with marketing and sales effectiveness to develop strategies and tactics that influence profitability, sales, and portfolio performance. ºWork closely with counterparts in Finance and Treasury to ensure alignment to performance metrics. ºOngoing management of all aspects of the product portfolio including sales, share analysis, research, portfolio metrics reporting, pricing management and competitive positioning reviews.ºAnalyze and evaluate new and existing products in terms of market potential, relevance, competitive differentiation, channel and alignment with business objectives.ºMaintain a framework to measure and report on product performance, capturing relevant and actionable insight. ºPackage and communicate findings to key stakeholders. ºSupport the development of business casing, product initiative and product deposit pricing. Keep abreast of changes in regulations in order to ensure that the department's procedures, projects and practices evolve accordingly.
ºUniversity education in a relevant field and 4 to 6 years of experience in Finance ºExcellent knowledge of the banking industry and trends.ºExperience with banking or financial investment products: fixed deposits, index investments, plans (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA).ºExcellent interpersonal and customer-oriented skillsºStrong sense of organization and planningºInitiative, autonomy and excellent team spiritºWriting experience and communication skillsºBilingual, French / English (oral and written)ºGood knowledge of the Microsoft suite
