With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The incumbent is responsible for managing a group of real estate clients, developing a diversified portfolio of mortgage loans valued at $500,000 to $10 million, including term loans, construction loans, repositioning loans and lines of credit for real estate. He/she is also expected to maintain excellent business relationships, risk management and portfolio administration.
ºCreate a business development plan to build and maintain a network of clients and grow the mortgage loan portfolio;ºSolicit both existing and potential clients, including real estate investors, real estate agents, mortgage brokers and developers/builders;ºTarget client needs and predict how their situation may evolve. Recommend strategies and financing structures adapted to client needs;ºNegotiate loan terms and conditions that meet client needs and the Bank's investment and profitability criteria;ºReview and improve mortgage loan applications to ensure that they are a profitable investment for the Laurentian Bank before submitting them to the Credit Committee; ºAnalyze, structure and sign loan applications. With the relevant stakeholders, ensure that securities are implement in compliance with conditions for authorization, current legislation, and the policies and processes of the Bank;ºEnsure and maintain a high level of quality and portfolio performance (profitability and quality);ºBe responsible for business relationship with borrowers and ensure the quality of services offered to clients;ºRecord and maintain all information related to customer relationships in CRM Dynamics; ºWork closely with out stakeholders in the business unit, keep abreast of Bank products offered by other business units, and refer transactions that are beyond his/her area of expertise to specialists; ºEnsure the Bank's visibility in the market by representing the organization and promotion the Bank's image in the community, in addition to developing and maintaining business relationships with current and potential clients and influential people;ºKeep up to date with market knowledge and trends, current legislation, policies, processes, and products and services of the Bank; ºFormulate recommendations to improve the work process; ºEnsure full compliance with our service guarantee and organizational values; ºPerform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job.
ºUniversity degree in a relevant field and five years experience in a small business financing and/or real estate financing or equivalent with an established financial institution; ºExcellent sales skills;ºBusiness development and negotiation skills; ºPortfolio management skills; ºRisk control and management; ºProficient in financial analysis; ºStrong communication skills; ºSensitive to client needs; ºTactful and diplomatic; ºExcellent communication skills, written and verbal; ºKnowledge of Word, Excel, Windows
