Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Development & Management, the Product Manager is responsible for providing analytical support to inform portfolio management and product development & enhancement strategies to help grow the business while "helping our customers improve their financial health". They will develop and maintain product performance dashboards for assigned products; report on leading indicators; and be accountable for gathering detailed competitive intelligence to benchmark and assess the Bank's position within the marketplace.

Responsibilities

When you wake up in the morning you'll be excited to start the day because you and team are empowered to make a differenceºThis role will provide strong analytical support to inform portfolio management - and deliver initiatives that drive product profitability, performance, policy and pricing strategies within the competitive environment ºSupport the ongoing management of all aspects of the product portfolio including sales, share analysis, research, metrics reporting, competitive positioning reviews and create action plans [as required] to enhance the product performanceºContribute to cross-channel product planning (annual view) and support product development, enhancements and builds end-to-endºAnalyze and evaluate new and existing products in terms of market potential, relevance, competitive differentiation, channel and alignment with the Bank's business objectivesºPossess a strong understanding of customer behaviours, what customers value and their data - and translate those findings to inform/optimize product strategies and/or find efficiencies or enhanced customer adoption/experienceºCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver programs that support the financial plan - and find new ways to improve portfolio KPIsºAnticipate and identify emerging trends impacting the business and/or product performanceºDevelop and maintain product performance dashboards; campaign post-mortems and business casingºKeep abreast of changes in regulations in order to ensure that the department's procedures, projects and practices evolve accordinglyºServe as product champion, ensuring organizational alignment against product objectives

Qualifications

Your background and experience is both broad and deep ºUniversity Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of product development & management experienceOr ºCollege Diploma in a related field and 7 to 10 years of product development & management experienceº3-5 years of financial services experience, product management, product analytics, operational and/or financial experience; with solid understanding of product performance indicatorsºDemonstrated experience with market evaluations, financial analysis, business case development, product pricing, new product design, and planningºStrong product, planning and project management skills - self-motivated and results oriented individual with strong leadership, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skillsºCreative, strategic and 'agile' thinker who challenges the status quo - possesses the ability to data mine to identify trends and/or areas of opportunitiesºA highly effective communicator with well-developed presentation skillsºGives meaning to data; insightful, interpretative and communicative - sets goals and defines metrics for successºStrong relationship management, negotiation and influencing skillsºOrganized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established timelines.ºHigh degree of collaboration - contributes to a positive work cultureºBilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are assets.
