Our client, Le GROUPE ALLIÉES, is looking for a recognized CPA professional to join their management team as Corporate Controller.

This privately owned manufacturing company in the metal transformation sector counts among its client's world-class companies such as Volvo, Lion Electric, Schneider, Michelin, Micro Bird (Girardin), and Novabus, among others.

In operation for more than 80 years, it has nearly 200 employees, supporting 4 business units and 2 trademarks: Entreprises Alliées, North Star Métal, Métal Sigma, JR Inox, ITOUCH, et Luminaires Alliées. The two main business units are in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Ville St-Laurent.

Brief Description

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for various mandates such as the processing of financial statements throughout the year, financial auditing, cost price analysis, supervision of various processes, financial reporting, and improvement of existing work methods.

Please note that the position requires occasional travel to Ville Saint-Laurent but is based primarily in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. More specifically, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for the following activities:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly financial statements for the entire Group
  • Prepare and present the monthly and annual financial statements of the company to the management team
  • Ensure effective control procedures and monitoring of results (dashboards and performance indicators)
  • Perform the complete accounting cycle for the company, its management company, and its trust
  • Ensure the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts for the (4) Group companies
  • Provide cost analysis for the Group's companies and actively participate in the improvement of the processes and systems in place
  • Promote and implement performance indicators (KPI) and participate in the analysis of potential acquisitions
  • Maximize the use of technology to ensure the simplification and improvement of processes

Required Qualifications


  • Degree in business administration
  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA)

Professional Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing company
  • Experience in costing/project cost tracking
  • Experience with ERP systems (asset)
  • Experience in an accounting firm (asset)


  • Good expertise in accounting, financial statements, and auditing
  • Ability to work with various systems
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office environment
