With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The mandate of the role is to market B2B Bank Mortgages to all licensed Mortgage Brokers within an assigned territory. The incumbent will seek out new business opportunities and continue to build positive relationships with existing mortgage brokers to sell and promote B2B Bank mortgage products.


ºBuild and maintain positive business relationships with Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Agents through the sale of mortgage products, broker/agent satisfaction, and retention of accounts.ºFollow and maintain a defined sales strategy based on activities and proper database managementºIdentify business opportunities with respect to increasing sales in their region including the identification of potential new broker/agent relationships.ºPrepare, co-ordinate and present sales presentations and proposals to new and existing brokers and agents.ºAttend and promote the Bank's mortgage products at industry Trade Shows, Conferences, and Promotional Events. ºAccountable for achieving and reporting sales activity targets for the regions.ºManage territory expenses and accountable for overall budget.ºAchieve Key Result Areas as required for the role.ºRelated administrative duties as required.


ºUniversity Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of mortgage sales experience or College Diploma in a related field and 7 to 10 years of mortgage sales experience.ºKnowledge of mortgage products, CMHC and Genworth policies and mortgage underwriting guidelines.ºAlong with in-depth mortgage sales experience, an established network of mortgage brokers and agents within Suburban Vancouver and Interior British Columbia. ºPolished presentation skills.ºCustomer-focused, adept at building client relations. ºStrong written and verbal communication skills.ºEnergetic and outgoing.ºSelf-starter who can work with minimal supervision.ºAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines.ºGood knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. ºFamiliarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.ºBilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are assets.NOTE: As frequent travel is required, a valid driver's licence and access to an automobile is essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends are required (attendance to industry events such as tradeshows/conferences is required).
