It adds value to the organization by mitigating risk, while at the same time, being an enabler of prudent and profitable growth initiatives.IRM fulfills its mandate by promoting a risk management culture throughout the Bank and ensuring transparent risk identification, measurement and integration of mitigation practices in the Bank's operations and planning.General profileReporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Operational Risk Management, the incumbent will support the fulfillment of Operational Risk Management Team 's mandate by assisting with a variety tasks which may include involvement with some or all of the following:
ºProvide support in the ongoing maturation of the operational risk management framework. ºAssist with the design and implementation of required operational risk identification, assessment and mitigation tools;ºAssist in the preparation of risk reports including supporting the collection of risk event metrics, KRI's and loss data. ºProvide support in organizing materials for the Operational Risk Management CommitteeºAssist in implementation of Risk Control Framework as needed.ºHelp to update and maintain operational risk policies and guidelines.ºBecome proficient in utilizing and extracting information from our Third Party Risk applicationºDevelop a strong understanding of our GRC application and be the primary contact for support for business users. This may also include maintenance and updates to the application.ºProvide administrative support in the management of the corporate insurance programºPerform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior required for the job..
ºBachelor's degree in Finance or another business-related field;ºMinimum of 2 years' previous experience within the financial services industry;ºProficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) º Strong organization, communication, and team-oriented skills;ºResults-oriented individual capable of working independently, proactively and operating effectively in ambiguityºGood conceptual thinking with proven analytic, problem-solving and effective reporting skills;ºAbility to work in a dynamic fast paced environment with tight deadlines;ºClient- (internal) and quality-focusedºMotivated to learn and succeed in a demanding environment that requires solutions to complex challenges.ºBilingualism, an asset
