Job Level

NV-10The department’s mandate covers the credit risk strategies of products for financing and payment manufacturers. Excellent knowledge of credit risk, associated models and frameworks, as well as processes, tools and systems that support activities is required. You will be responsible for developing credit risk strategies and performance monitoring.As a senior risk management advisor, you assist with analysis, research and development to analyze the costs and benefits of risk reduction. You recommend implementation strategies and priorities for market risk and risk management best practices. You lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects requiring comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter specialist, as well as resource and support person for decision-making bodies.

Additional responsibilities

  • Advise and assist clients and partners with positioning, planning, development, performance and follow-up of various strategic projects and mandates under your responsibility
  • Identify and analyze major problems and issues. Establish diagnoses and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned
  • Represent Desjardins Group’s position when reaching agreements with partners (suppliers, credit bureaus, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, in administration or in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of a relevant experience

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required 

Specific knowledge

  • Proficiency in the SAS programming language
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Independent speaker, intermediate knowledge of English
