NV-09As a financial performance and budget advisor, you help design, institute, update, analyze and monitor strategies and solutions related to income and expense accounting. You help structure and track financial results, produce budget forecasts, invest in pension plans and improve financial performance. You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

General Information on the Position

Additional responsibilities

  • Perform specialized analyses, conduct studies, develop and propose recommendations, and draft reports
  • Represent management during the annual budget process by carrying out analyses and financial projections, in conjunction with portfolio managers and operations teams
  • Monitor budgets by documenting the financial differences arising from renewals, acquisitions, outsourcing services and supplier service offers
  • Develop, implement and ensure the effectiveness of the internal control methods that are needed for sound financial management
  • Ensure unified financial reporting for management, in conjunction with the Project Portfolio Management and Finance teams
  • Produce and share with various committees and decision-making bodies the required presentations, reports and performance indicators containing, in particular, information on budget financing, risks and balancing
  • Anticipate issues and trends, suggest solutions and ensure they are implemented
  • Use your expertise to improve processes, and develop tools and reports to inform management decisions, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data
  • Carefully manage and monitor the financial variances and the reporting of monthly results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of a relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
