POSITION PROFILE

  • Responsible for processing all aspects of the US payroll function for 2,000 employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of payments and compliance to appropriate legislation and internal policy.
  • Analyze and reconcile government statements and remittances.
  • Responsible for the year-end process ensuring income statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with IRS, state and local requirements.
  • Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation, inquiries regarding financials and taxation.
  • Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to all employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Participates in internal and external payroll audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five years of U.S. payroll experience.
  • College diploma (DEC) in Administration or equivalent.
  • American Payroll Association certification is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of current payroll practices and related legal statutory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll taxation.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English and French.
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of accountability/responsibility.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability to problem solve and uses analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality; possesses diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite of software, particularly Excel.
  • ADP and/or Workday Software skills.
