Credit and Collection Agent

Are you someone passionate about collections and credit and looking to join a great team? By joining us as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be part of a motivated team where teamwork is highly valued. You will be primarily responsible for collecting and analyzing the credit of accounts receivable from our clients mainly located in the province of Quebec. Among other responsibilities, your duties will include:

  • Conducting credit investigations and establishing limits;
  • Sending a new client a request for account opening upon receipt of a new contract and following up on it;
  • Verifying the account and credit history and conducting a new investigation upon receipt of a contract with a known client;
  • Entering collection activity details into the accounts receivable system and documenting communications with clients;
  • Analyzing reasons for non-payment;
  • Reaching an agreement with the client to recover amounts owed;
  • Reconciling accounts and producing statements;
  • And other related tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

If you wish to contribute to the company's goals, demonstrate initiative, and have good analytical skills, this position is for you! The qualifications we are looking for are as follows:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • DEP in office automation or DEC in administration or another relevant field;
  • Fluent in spoken and written French (essential);
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (essential)*;
    • *Fluency in spoken and written English is required as the holder of this position will be in regular contact with our offices in other Canadian provinces or will be in contact with clients outside Quebec.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP);
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset);
  • Customer service-oriented; Very good stress management skills;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an open-office environment.
